Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated July 25, 2026

This policy defines what may and may not be sold or done through Arcana Payments. It exists to keep the network lawful and every transaction honestly represented. It applies alongside our Terms of Service and the rules of the licensed operators we route through.

01The general rule

You may use the Service only to accept payment for your own lawful goods or services, described accurately, and delivered as promised. Every charge must be a genuine purchase, and the checkout’s disclosure that the Buyer’s card is purchasing USDC must be preserved and never contradicted.

02Prohibited activities

You may not use the Service for, or in connection with:

  • Anything illegal under applicable federal, state, or local law, or that facilitates illegal activity.
  • Fraud, deception, phishing, or misrepresentation of yourself, your business, or your goods.
  • Transaction laundering or miscoding — running another party’s sales through your account, or misrepresenting the nature of a transaction to the operator, the card networks, or a Buyer.
  • Counterfeit goods, stolen goods, or material that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Malware, credential theft, account takeover, or attempts to bypass security or bot detection.
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or other deceptive get-rich-quick offers.
  • Sale to, or on behalf of, sanctioned persons, or in violation of trade or export controls.
  • Investment, lending, or money-transmission services offered without required licenses.

03Restricted and regulated activities

Some lawful activities are regulated and require appropriate licenses, age controls, or written pre-approval before you may use the Service for them. These include, without limitation:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other regulated or controlled products.
  • Products or services requiring a license, permit, or age verification to sell lawfully.
  • Gambling, gaming, sweepstakes, or contests where regulated.
  • Products making health, medical, or therapeutic claims that require regulatory approval.
  • Adult content or services, where permitted at all, subject to strict controls.

If you are unsure whether your business qualifies, ask us before you integrate. Approval for a regulated activity is at our and the licensed operator’s discretion and may be withdrawn.

04Transaction integrity

Because the Service settles in USDC and codes the charge to the real activity (MCC 6051), honest coding is non-negotiable. You must not relabel, disguise, or misrepresent what a Buyer is purchasing, split a single sale to evade limits, or process on behalf of an undisclosed third party.

05Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may limit, suspend, hold, or terminate access, decline or reverse transactions, and report to the licensed operator or to authorities as required. A licensed operator may impose additional restrictions under its own rules.
